I'm a tech lead for various product security efforts, such as SAIF AI security and product security reviews. As such my passion is ensuring that shipped products are secure with all of their components and integrations. Cloud is exciting in this area because it offers so much to help uphold a high standard in almost every area of development. Before joining Google, I worked as a malware analyst at CrySyS Lab and as a security architect at a finance company in London (G-Research). In my earlier days I was an avid capture the flag competitor, and participated in the finals of e.g. DEFCON, Google CTF, SecCon and Code Blue.

This talk will discuss the Google Security AI Framework (SAIF), which is used to protect AI systems and workflows. Through concrete examples, presenters will cover the key threats that must be addressed when deploying AI systems and what mitigations to put in place with a focus on when to extend existing systems versus adding AI specific protections.
