Mark is the founder of IDRsolutions (which develops software to do lots of cool stuff with PDF files). He is a big NetBeans fan and always keen to share his enthusiasms. Devfest is the highlight of his year and he is always excited to see old friends and making new ones.

NetBeans is a rapidly developing Open Source IDE, supported by a thriving community under the Apache foundation.
It is a very powerful and yet easy to use multi-platform IDE for developing in multiple languages including Java, HTML5, and PHP. It integrates seamlessly with lots of other OS technologies including GIt and Maven. And as this is 2025, it allows works nicely with your AI of choice.
I will be demoing you how it allows you to write, edit, debug even complex applications fast. I will show you how its modualr design allows you to totally customise it. And because it's open source I will show how you can even download and hack the source code.
And even it I don't persuade you to give NetBeans a try, you will get lots of ideas on how to use your preferred IDE better…
